Hebrews 3:7-8,15
Hebrews 3:6-11 The Message (MSG)
Now, if we can only keep a firm grip on this bold confidence, we’re the house! That’s why the Holy Spirit says, Today, please listen; don’t turn a deaf ear as in “the bitter uprising,” that time of wilderness testing! Even though they watched me at work for forty years, your ancestors refused to let me do it my way; over and over they tried my patience. And I was provoked, oh, so provoked! I said, “They’ll never keep their minds on God; they refuse to walk down my road.” Exasperated, I vowed, “They’ll never get where they’re going, never be able to sit down and rest.”
Hebrews 3:15-19 The Message (MSG)
For who were the people who turned a deaf ear? Weren’t they the very ones Moses led out of Egypt? And who was God provoked with for forty years? Wasn’t it those who turned a deaf ear and ended up corpses in the wilderness? And when he swore that they’d never get where they were going, wasn’t he talking to the ones who turned a deaf ear? They never got there because they never listened, never believed.
Hebrews 3:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, In the day of temptation in the wilderness
Hebrews 3:15 King James Version (KJV)
while it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Hebrews 3:7-8 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME, AS IN THE DAY OF TRIAL IN THE WILDERNESS
Hebrews 3:15 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
while it is said, “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME.”
Hebrews 3:7-8 New Century Version (NCV)
So it is as the Holy Spirit says: “Today listen to what he says. Do not be stubborn as in the past when you turned against God, when you tested God in the desert.
Hebrews 3:15 New Century Version (NCV)
This is what the Scripture says: “Today listen to what he says. Do not be stubborn as in the past when you turned against God.”
Hebrews 3:7-8 American Standard Version (ASV)
Wherefore, even as the Holy Spirit saith, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, Like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness
Hebrews 3:15 American Standard Version (ASV)
while it is said, To-day if ye shall hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Hebrews 3:7-8 New International Version (NIV)
So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness
Hebrews 3:15 New International Version (NIV)
As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
Hebrews 3:7-8 New King James Version (NKJV)
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness
Hebrews 3:15 New King James Version (NKJV)
while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
Hebrews 3:7-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS [your fathers did] IN THE REBELLION [of Israel at Meribah], ON THE DAY OF TESTING IN THE WILDERNESS
Hebrews 3:15 Amplified Bible (AMP)
while it is said, “TODAY [while there is still opportunity] IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEART, AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME [in the rebellion in the desert at Meribah].”
Hebrews 3:7-8 New Living Translation (NLT)
That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.
Hebrews 3:15 New Living Translation (NLT)
Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.”
Hebrews 3:7-8 The Passion Translation (TPT)
This is why the Holy Spirit says, “If only you would listen to his voice this day! Don’t make him angry by hardening your hearts, like your ancestors did during the days of their rebellion, when they were tested in the wilderness.
Hebrews 3:15 The Passion Translation (TPT)
For again, the Scriptures say, If only today you would listen to his voice. Don’t make him angry by hardening your hearts, as you did in the wilderness rebellion.
