“ ‘For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “ ‘Woe to the city of bloodshed, to the pot now encrusted, whose deposit will not go away! Take the meat out piece by piece in whatever order it comes.

“ ‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “ ‘Woe to the city of bloodshed! I, too, will pile the wood high.

“Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose corrosion is in it, and whose corrosion has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, without making any choice.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.

“Now this is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! She is a cooking pot whose corruption can’t be cleaned out. Take the meat out in random order, for no piece is better than another.

“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! I myself will pile up the fuel beneath her.

“ ‘Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the city of bloodshed,  the pot that has corrosion inside it, and its corrosion has not come out of it! Empty it piece by piece; lots should not be cast for its contents.

“ ‘Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the city of bloodshed!  I myself will make the pile of kindling large.

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.

‘Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Woe to the bloody city, To the pot whose scum is in it, And whose scum is not gone from it! Bring it out piece by piece, On which no lot has fallen.

‘Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Woe to the bloody city! I too will make the pyre great.

“‘GOD, the Master, says: “‘Doom to the city of murder, to the pot thick with scum, thick with a filth that can’t be scoured. Empty the pot piece by piece; don’t bother who gets what.

“‘Therefore, this is what GOD, the Master, says: “‘Doom to the city of murder! I, too, will pile on the wood. Stack the wood high, light the match, Cook the meat, spice it well, pour out the broth, and then burn the bones. Then I’ll set the empty pot on the coals and heat it red-hot so the bronze glows, So the germs are killed and the corruption is burned off. But it’s hopeless. It’s too far gone. The filth is too thick.

‘Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city, To the pot in which there is rust And whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, Without making a choice.

Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the wood pile great.

¶‘Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe (judgment is coming) to the bloody city, To the pot in which there is rust And whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece by piece, Without making any choice.

‘Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, “Woe to the bloody city! I will also make the pile [of wood] high.

“‘Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: Woe to the city of bloodshed, the pot whose rot is in it, whose rot has not been removed from it! Empty it piece by piece. No lot has fallen on it.

“‘Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: Woe to the city of bloodshed! I will also make the pile high.
