Numbers 22:2-3

Balaam was a pagan seer. Seven books of the Bible mention Balaam. Even though we are more familiar about Balaam’s donkey talking, did you know that Balaam was fool as he even talked to the donkey! In this 5-day devotional, learn lessons from Balaam’s life that will challenge you to be more sensitive to the voice of God in your life.

Some places in Scripture were more than locations; they became altars, classrooms, crossroads, or snares. Bethel, Horeb, Egypt, Sodom, Moab, David’s palace, and Peter’s fire all reveal how environments can shape encounters, decisions, temptations, and destinies. This twelve-day plan is a call to spiritual alertness, not fear. Believers are not called to hide from the world, but to walk with discernment. Each day invites us to ask: Has God sent me here? Am I equipped to stand here? What is this place forming in me?

In the beginning was the Word … but what came next? This plan is for anyone who wants a better understanding of the Bible. It provides a chronological reading program that endeavors to place all biblical passages in their date order. Part Two of this twelve-part one-year reading plan is titled 'Forty Years in the Wilderness, 1491 BC–1452 BC'.

This is the fourth part of a reading plan through the Bible following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, this part of the plan will also focus on our only comfort in life and death from questions 1 & 2 of the Heidelberg Catechism.
