Deuteronomy 3:29

The seasons of womanhood can be challenging and difficult to understand. God blesses us with seasoned women to guide us along our journey who have trodden the path before us and know the way. And He has given us His word to reveal his love and purpose for us. This seven-day devotional will help women live a life of faith and purpose.

In the beginning was the Word … but what came next? This plan is for anyone who wants a better understanding of the Bible. It provides a chronological reading program that endeavors to place all biblical passages in their date order. Part Two of this twelve-part one-year reading plan is titled 'Forty Years in the Wilderness, 1491 BC–1452 BC'.

This is the fifth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for the Apostles' Creed, and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.

Deuteronomy represents the precipice between Israel's wilderness journey and their conquest to come. As God draws his people into the promised land, Moses explains and amplifies the covenantal relationship between Yahweh and his people. By calling them to obedience, Moses looks forward to the day that Israel will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth.
