Psalm 57

Let Your Glory Be over All the Earth

1 # Ps. 56:1; See Ps. 4:1 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me,
for in you my soul #Ps. 91:4 takes refuge;
in #See Ps. 17:8 the shadow of your wings I will take refuge,
# Isa. 26:20 till the storms of destruction pass by.
2I cry out to God Most High,
to God who #Ps. 138:8fulfills his purpose for me.

he will put to shame #See Ps. 56:1 him who tramples on me. Selah

I lie down amid fiery beasts—

whose #Ps. 55:21; 59:7; 64:3; Prov. 12:18; [Ps. 52:2; Jer. 9:8]tongues are sharp swords.

Let your glory be over all the earth!
