Matthew 24:47-48

The very rich parables of the virgins and the talents are grounded in the same context, in which Jesus uses them to speak about obedience, commitment, and loyalty. Jesus is speaking about His coming, the condition in which human beings will be, and the condition in which He expects to find His disciples on earth when He returns. I want to invite you to dive into what Jesus intended to say with the parable of the ten virgins and, subsequently, with the parable of the talents, understanding in depth their real application in our daily lives and in the church.

Nobody knows the exact time of Christ’s return, but we know for a fact that the signs of the time will include hardships and tribulations. We need to be more vigilant, making firm our faith in Christ, and pursuing the accomplishment of the great commission to the best of our efforts, for the glory and honor of our God.

As we await Christ's return, we are called to keep watch and serve with unwavering dedication. We are called to remain faithful in our service, knowing that our efforts are not in vain. Let’s delve into the tapestry of faithful waiting and discover the profound significance of our actions.
