God's desire is that your home may be a source of light, warmth, and protection. The purpose of this devotional plan is to help you keep the fire of God's love burning and make your home an altar of worship for Him.

David's life emphasizes obedience, worship, and prioritizing God's presence. David facilitated Israel's access to God; Jesus did the same for all nations. The call is to continually seek God, stretching beyond comfort. Jesus tore the veil for unrestricted access. It's a challenge to desire all God has. Written following their return from exile, Chronicles is a theological retelling of Israel's monarchial history. In this post-exilic season, doubt and apathy plagued God's people and their trust in His promises. The Chronicler responds by reminding Israel of God's faithfulness from Adam to Moses to David and ultimately points toward a Greater David to come.

By the end of this study, we pray that you will know God’s voice better, that you will know when and how he speaks, and feel compelled to obey. As we study Scripture, we will discover that God’s plan cannot be thwarted regardless of who is in power. The point of the original monarchy found in 1 and 2 Samuel, illustrates that from the beginning.
