Those who are righteous will have faith in His plans (Habakkuk 2:3). Despite the darkness of the season, we too can “rejoice in the Lord” and “take joy in the God of our salvation” (Habakkuk 3:18).

Finding gratitude can feel almost impossible in challenging seasons. This three-day plan, Thankful through the Struggle, invites you to discover God’s presence and provision even in the hardest times. Through the prayers of Habakkuk, you’ll be reminded that gratitude in prayer can forge a pathway to peace.

We will look at eight economic disasters recorded in the Bible which resulted in severe famine. Famine was an ending – the result of disobedience and sin – and a beginning, a potential turning point toward a better, more faithful future. Financial problems form an opportunity for change and a chance for a new beginning. What can we learn from these economic disasters for our own situation today?
