Ephesians 3

3
The Revelation of the Mystery of Christ
1 For this reason, I, Paul, am a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—
2 if indeed, you have heard about the stewardship of God’s grace that was entrusted to me for your benefit,
3 that the mystery was made known to me through direct revelation, just as I briefly wrote previously.
4 By reading this, you will be able to perceive my understanding of the mystery concerning Christ,
5 which was not made known to people in past generations as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:
6 specifically, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the same body and fellow participants in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
7 of which I became a servant according to the gift of God’s grace given to me through the operation of His power.
8 To me, though I am the least significant of all God’s people, this grace was granted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches found in Christ,
9 and to make clear to everyone what is the plan of the mystery that was hidden throughout past ages in God who created all things,
10 so that now through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God might be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 according to the eternal purpose that He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,
12 in whom we possess bold confidence and the privilege of approaching God with assurance through faith in Him.
13 Therefore I ask you not to become discouraged because of my sufferings on your behalf, which actually bring honor to you.
Pauline Prayer for Attaining to All the Fullness of God
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its identity,
16 asking that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
17 so that Christ would make His home in your hearts through faith, and that you, being firmly rooted and established in love,
18 would have the strength to grasp fully, along with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth of God’s love,
19 and to experientially grasp the love of Christ—a love that transcends human understanding—so that you may be filled to all the fullness of God.
20 Now to the One who has the power to accomplish infinitely beyond all things we request or conceive, working through His mighty power that operates within us,
21 to Him belongs all glory in the church and in Christ Jesus through every generation, for all eternity. Amen.
