Revelation 14
14
The Lamb and the 144,000
1 Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand* who had His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a voice from heaven* like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang what appeared to be a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders;* and no one was able to learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. 4 These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were purchased from mankind* as firstfruits to God and to the Lamb. 5 And in their mouth was found no lie; they are blameless.*
The Proclamations of the Three Angels
6 Then I saw another angel flying through the midst of the air, having an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who reside on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and language and people, 7 saying with a great voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come, and worship the One who made the heaven and the earth, and sea and fountains of waters.”
8 And another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, who caused all the nations to drink from the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.”
9 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which has been mixed full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever,* and they have no rest day and night— those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
12 Here is the perseverance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith in Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labours, for their works follow after them.”
The Harvest of the Earth
14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a great voice to the One who sat on the cloud, “Put in Your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth has ripened.” 16 And the One who sat on the cloud wielded his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.
The Trampling of the Great Winepress of the Wrath of God
17 And another angel came out of the temple that is in heaven, he too had a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel, the one who has authority over the fire, came out from the altar, and he called out with a great voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because its grapes are fully ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle over the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood went out from the winepress, as high as the horses’ bridles, to the distance of one thousand six hundred stadia.
