Ephesians 3
3
The Revelation of the Mystery of Christ
1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus* for the sake of you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the administration of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 that by revelation the mystery was made known to me,* just as I have written before briefly, 4 in reference to which, when you read, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to the holy apostles* and prophets in* the Spirit: 6 that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, 7 of which I was made a minister, in accordance with the gift of God’s grace which was given to me through the working of His power.
8 To me, the very least* of all saints,* this grace was given: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to enlighten everyone on what the administration* of the mystery is, which has been hidden from the ages in God, who created all things,* 10 so that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places, 11 according to the eternal purpose* which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him. 13 I ask you, therefore, not to lose heart at my afflictions for you, which is your glory.
Pauline Prayer for Attaining to All the Fullness of God
14 In light of this, I bend my knees before the Father,* 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He may grant you, in accordance with the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be fully able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length, and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled to* all the fullness of God.
20 Now to the One who is able to do immeasurably beyond all things that we ask or think, in accordance with the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.* Amen.
