1 Corinthians 5

5
On Incest and Other Vices in the Church
1 It is actually reported* that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality which does not even exist among the Gentiles, so that someone has his father’s wife. 2 But you have become inflated with arrogance, and have not rather mourned, so that the one who has done this deed might be removed from your midst. 3 For I, though absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged the one who has intentionally worked out this deed* in this way, as though I were present. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus,* when you are gathered, and with my spirit, along with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 you are to deliver such a person to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his* spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.*
6 Your boasting* is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the entire batch of dough? 7 Cleanse out the old leaven, so that you may be a new batch of dough, just as you are unleavened. For Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed. 8 Therefore, let us celebrate the feast, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of purity* and truth.*
9 I wrote to you in my* letter not to associate with the sexually immoral— 10 not at all referring* to the sexually immoral of this world, or the covetous and extortionists, or idolaters, for then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to associate with anyone who professes to be a brother, if he is a sexually immoral person, or a covetous person, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortionist—not even to eat with such an individual.
12 For what is to me to judge those outside? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 But those outside God will judge. Expel the wicked one from among yourselves.
