Romans 10

10
CHAPTER TEN
1Brethren, the earnest desire of my heart and my supplication to God for Israel is for salvation.
2For I testify of them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. #Acts 21:20, 22:3; Rom. 9:31; Gal. 1:14
3For they, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. #Rom. 1:17; Phil. 3:9
4For Christ is the end of works of law for righteousness to everyone who believes. #Mat. 5:17; Gal. 3:24
5For Moses wrote concerning the righteousness that comes through the law, “The man who has practiced those things shall live by them.” #Lev. 18:5; Ezek. 20:11; Neh. 9:29; Gal. 3:12
6But the righteousness that comes through faith speaks after this manner: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who shall ascend up to heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down) #Deut. 30:12
7“Or, ‘Who shall descend into the abyss?’ ”(that is, to bring Christ up from among the dead.)
8But what does it say? “The word is near to you, in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the word of faith that we are proclaiming: #Deut. 30:14
9That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. #Mat. 10:32; Luke 12:8; Acts 8:37
10For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses unto salvation
11Because the scripture says, “Everyone who believes in Him shall not be ashamed.” #Isa. 28:16, 49:23; Jer. 17:7
12For there is no difference between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all is rich toward all who call upon Him. #Acts 10:36, 15:9; Rom. 3:22; Eph. 1:7, 2:4, 7; 1 Tim. 2:5
13For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. #Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21, 9:14
14How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without preaching? #Tit. 1:3
15And how shall they preach, unless they be sent? Accordingly, it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of peace, and those who announce the good news of good things!” #Isa. 52:7; Nah. 1:15
16But all have not obeyed the gospel because as Isaiah said, “Lord, who has believed our report?” #Isa. 53:1; John 12:38
17So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.
18But I say, did they not hear? Yes, indeed, for it is written, “Their voices went out into all the earth; their words went out even to the ends of the habitable world.” #1 Ki. 18:10; Psa. 19:4; Mat. 4:8, 24:14 Mark 16:15; Col. 1:6, 23
19Nevertheless, I say, did not Israel know? First, Moses said, “I will provoke you to jealousy through those who are not a people. I will anger you through a people without understanding.” #Rom. 11:11; Tit. 3:3
20Then Isaiah was very bold and said, “I was found by those who were not seeking Me, and I was revealed to those who were not inquiring after Me.” #Isa. 65:1-2
21However, to Israel he said, “All day long I have stretched out My hands to a people who are disobeying and contradicting.”
