PSALM EIGHTY-FIVE
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
1O Lord, You have shown favor to Your land; You have brought back Jacob from exile. #Psa. 14:7; Jer. 30:18; Ezek. 39:25; Joel 3:1; Ezra 1:11
2You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sins. Selah.
3You have taken away all Your wrath; You have turned from the fierceness of Your anger. #Deut. 13:17
4Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Your anger toward us to cease. #Psa. 80:7
5Will You be angry with us forever? Will You draw out Your anger to all generations? #Psa. 79:5
6Will You not give us life again, so that Your people may rejoice in You? #Hab. 3:2
7Show us Your mercy, O Lord, and grant us Your salvation.
8I will hear what God the Lord will speak; for He will speak peace to His people, and to His saints, but let them not turn again to folly. #Hab. 2:1; Zech. 9:10; 2 Pet. 2:20
9Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, so that glory may dwell in our land. #Isa. 46:13; Zech. 2:5
10Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. #Isa. 32:17; Psa. 72:3; Luke 2:14
11Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good, and our land shall yield its increase. #Psa. 84:11; Jas. 1:17
13Righteousness shall go before Him and shall set us in the way of His steps. #Psa. 89:14
