PSALM EIGHTY-TWO
A Psalm of Asaph.
1God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods. #Psa. 82:6; 2 Chr. 19:6
2How long will you judge unjustly and respect the persons of the wicked? Selah. #Deut. 1:17
3Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. #Jer. 22:3
4Deliver the poor and needy; save them out of the hand of the wicked. #Prov. 24:11; Job 29:12
5They do not know, neither do they understand; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken out of course. #Mic. 3:1; Psa. 11:3
6I have said, “You are gods; and all of you are sons of the Most High. #Ex. 22:28; John 10:34
7But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” #Psa. 49:12
8Arise, O God, judge the earth, for You shall inherit all nations. #Mic. 7:2, 7; Psa. 2:8; Rev. 11:15
