PSALM EIGHT
To the Chief Musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David.
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens! #Psa. 113:4, 148:13
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have ordained strength because of Your adversaries, to silence the enemy and the avenger. #Psa. 44:16 Matt. 21:16; 1 Cor. 1:27
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which You have ordained, #Psa. 111:2
What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You care for him? #Job 7:17
For You have made him a little lower than God and have crowned him with glory and honor.
You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet: #Gen. 1:26; Heb. 2:8
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
The birds of heaven, the fish of the sea, and all that pass through the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! #Psa. 8:1
