PSALM SEVENTY-SIX
To the Chief Musician. For stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song.
1God is known in Judah; His name is great in Israel. #Psa. 48:1
2And His tabernacle is in Salem, and His dwelling place in Zion.
3There He broke the fiery arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. #Ezek. 39:9; Psa. 46:9
4You are resplendent with light, more majestic than the mountains of prey. #Ezek. 38:12
5The stouthearted have been plundered; they slept their sleep; and none of the men of war can use his hands. #Isa. 46:12; Jer. 51:39; Psa. 13:3
6By Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the horse and the chariot are cast into a deep sleep. #Ex. 15:1, 21; Ezek. 39:20; Nah. 2:13; Zech. 12:4
7You, even You, are to be feared, and who can stand in Your sight when once You are angry? #Nah. 1:6
8You cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared and was still #Ex. 19:10; 2 Chr. 20:29-30
9When God arose to judgment to save all the meek of the earth. Selah. #Psa. 9:7-9, 72:4
10Surely the wrath of man shall praise You; the survivors of Your wrath are restrained. #Psa. 65:7 Dan 3:28
11Vow, and bring gifts to the Lord your God; let all that are around Him bring presents to Him Who ought to be feared. #Psa. 68:29; Eccl. 5:4-6; 2 Chr. 32:22-23
12He shall cut off the spirit in princes; He is awesome to the kings of the earth. #Psa. 68:35
