Psalms 64

64
PSALM SIXTY-FOUR
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
1Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, from the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
3Who sharpen their tongue like a sword and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words; #Psa. 58:7
4So that they may shoot at the blameless from concealment—suddenly they shoot at him, and fear not.
5They encourage themselves in an evil plan; they talk of laying snares secretly; they say, “Who shall see them?” #Psa. 10:11
6They plot injustices, saying, “We have made a perfect plan.” For the inward thought and heart of man is cunning.
7But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded.
8So they shall make their own tongue a stumbling block for themselves. Everyone seeing them shall shake the head. #Psa. 31:11
9And all men shall fear and shall declare the work of God, for they shall wisely consider His doing. #Jer. 50:28, 51:10
10The righteous shall be glad in the Lord and shall take refuge in Him, and all the upright in heart shall glory.
