PSALM TWENTY-NINE
A Psalm of David.
1To the Lord, O you sons of the mighty, give to the Lord glory and strength. #1 Chr. 16:28
2Give to the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. #2 Chr. 20:21
3The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is above many waters. #Job 37:4-5
4The voice of the Lord is powerful, the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; yea, the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. #Isa. 2:13
6He also makes them to skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. #Deut. 3:9; Psa. 114:4
7The voice of the Lord hews out flames of fire.
8The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. #Num. 13:26
9The voice of the Lord causes the does to give birth and strips the forests bare; and in His temple everyone says “Glory!”
10The Lord sits upon the flood; yea, the Lord sits as King forever. #Psa. 10:16
11The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace. #Psa. 28:8
