PSALM TWO
1Why do the nations rage and the people plot in vain? #Psa. 65:7; Acts 4:25
2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together against the Lord and against His Christ, saying, #John 1:41
3“Let us break Their bands asunder and cast away Their cords from us.” #Luke 19:14
4He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. #Psa. 37:13; Prov. 1:26
5Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and in His fury He terrifies them.
6“Yea, I have set My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.” #2 Sam. 5:7
7“I will declare the decree of the Lord. He has said to Me, ‘You are My Son; this day I have begotten You. #Acts 13:33
8Ask of Me, and I shall give the nations for Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. #Psa. 22:27
9You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” #Psa. 89:23; Rev. 2:27
10Now therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth.
11Serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. #Phil. 2:12; Heb. 12:28
12Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in the way, for His wrath can flame up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him. #Isa. 30:18; Psa. 34:8; John 5:23; Rom. 9:33; Rev. 6:16
