PSALM ONE HUNDRED-FORTY-THREE
A Psalm of David.
1Hear my prayer O Lord; give ear unto my supplications; in Your faithfulness and in Your righteousness answer me. #Psa. 31:1
2And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no one living is righteous, #Ex. 34:7; Job 14:3
3For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has beaten my life down to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, as those long dead.
4Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart is weary within me. #Psa. 77:3
5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I consider the work of Your hands. #Psa. 77:5
6I stretch forth my hands unto You; my soul thirsts after You like a parched land. Selah. #Psa. 63:1, 88:9
7Answer me quickly, O Lord; my spirit fails; do not hide Your face from me, lest I be like those who go down into the pit. #Psa. 28:1
8Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul unto You. #Psa. 25:1, 46:5
9Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; I flee to You to hide me.
10Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground of uprightness. #Isa. 26:10; Psa. 25:4-5; Neh. 9:20
11O Lord, for Your name’s sake quicken me; in Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. #Psa. 119:25
12And in Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul, for I am Your servant. #Psa. 54:5
