Philippians 4
4
CHAPTER FOUR
1Therefore, my brethren, beloved and longed for, my joy and my crown, stand fast in the Lord, beloved. #2 Cor. 1:14; Phil. 1:8, 27, 2:16
2I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to be of the same mind in the Lord. #Phil. 3:16
3And I ask you, my true yokefellow, to assist these women, who labored with me in the gospel, and with Clement, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. #Ex. 32:32; Psa. 69:28; Dan. 12:1; Rom. 16:3
4Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! #1 Pet. 4:13; Rom. 12:12; 1 Thes. 5:16
5Let your moderation be known to all men; the Lord is near. #1 Pet. 4:7; Heb. 10:25
6Do not be anxious about anything; but by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God in everything; #Psa. 55:22; Prov. 16:3; Mat. 6:25
7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. #John 14:27; Rom. 5:1; Col. 3:15
8Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. #1 Thes. 5:22
9Whatever things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, you do also; and the God of peace shall be with you. #Rom. 15:33; Phil. 3:17
10But I rejoiced greatly in the Lord, that at last your care for me has revived—although you were already thinking of me, but you lacked an opportunity to provide. #2 Cor. 11:9
11I am not saying this in respect to being destitute; for I have learned that in whatever circumstances I am, to be content. #1 Tim. 6:6
12For I have experienced being brought low, and I have experienced abounding. In everything and in all things I have been taught both to be full and to hunger, both to abound and to be without. #1 Cor. 4:11
13I can do all things through Christ, Who empowers me. #John 15:5
14But you did well to communicate with me in my distress. #Phil. 1:7
15For you Philippians also know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I came from Macedonia, not one church communicated with me in regard to giving and receiving, except you alone. #2 Cor. 11:8
16And when I was in Thessalonica, you sent to supply my need both once and twice.
17 I do not say this because I am seeking a gift, but because I am seeking fruit that may abound to your credit. #Tit. 3:14
18But I have all things and abound. I am full after receiving from Epaphroditus the things you sent, a sweet-smelling savor, a sacrifice acceptable and well pleasing to God. #Phil. 2:25; 2 Cor. 9:12; Heb. 13:16
19But my God will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. #Psa. 23:1
20Now to our God and Father be glory into the ages of eternity. Amen. #Rom. 16:27
21Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren with me salute you. #Gal. 1:2
22All the saints salute you, and especially those of the household of Caesar. #Phil. 1:13
23 May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. #Rom. 16:24
