II Timothy 3
3
CHAPTER THREE
1Know this also, that in the last days perilous times shall come; #1 Tim. 4:1
2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, braggarts, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, #2 Pet. 2:3; Jude 16; Rom. 1:30; Phil. 2:21; 1 Tim. 1:20, 6:4
3Without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, despisers of those who are good, #2 Pet. 3:3; Rom. 1:31
4Betrayers, reckless, egotistical, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; #2 Pet. 2:10; Phil. 3:19
5Having an outward appearance of godliness, but denying the power of true godliness. But as for you, turn away from all these. #1 Tim. 5:8, 6:5
6For from men such as these come those who are worming their way into houses, and are gaining control over empty-headed gullible women given over to various sins, being driven by all kinds of lust. #Mat. 23:14; Tit. 1:11
7 They are always learning but are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. #1 Tim. 2:4
8Now just as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, in the same manner also these are brazenly standing against the truth; they are men of depraved minds, reprobate in respect to the faith. #Ex. 7:11; Rom. 1:28; 1 Tim. 6:5
9But they will proceed no further, because their folly will become clearly evident to everyone, just as theirs also was. #Ex. 7:12
10But you have closely followed my doctrine, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, #1 Tim. 4:6
11Persecutions and sufferings—such as happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. You know what sort of persecutions I endured; and the Lord delivered me out of them all. #Psa. 34:19; Acts 13:45, 14:2, 19
12And indeed, everyone who desires to live godly in Christ Jesus shall be persecuted. #Psa. 34:19
13But wicked men and imposters shall become worse and worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves. #2 Thes. 2:11
14But as for you, continue in the things that you did learn and were assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them; #2 Tim. 1:13
15And that from a child you have known the Holy Writings, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. #John 5:39
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; #2 Pet. 1:20; Rom. 15:4
17So that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work. #2 Tim. 2:21
