Yahweh Will Judge the World in Righteousness

I will recount all Your #9:1 Or miracleswondrous deeds.

2I will be glad and exult in You;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.

3¶When my enemies turn back,
They stumble and perish before You.
4For You have maintained my #9:4 Or rightjustice and my cause;
You have sat on the throne #9:4 Or a righteous Judgejudging righteously.

5You have rebuked the nations, You have made the wicked perish;
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

6 # 9:6 Or O enemy, desolations are finished forever; And their cities You have plucked up The enemy has come to an end in perpetual #9:6 Or waste placesruins,
And You have uprooted the cities;
The very memory of them has perished.

7¶But Yahweh #9:7 Or sits as kingabides forever;
He has established His throne for judgment,

8And He will judge the world in righteousness;
He will render justice for the peoples with equity.

11¶Sing praises to Yahweh, who abides in Zion;
Declare among the peoples His acts.
12For He who #9:12 Avenges bloodshedrequires blood remembers them;
He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

13Be gracious to me, O Yahweh;
See my affliction from those who hate me,
You who lift me up from the gates of death,
14That I may recount all Your praises,
That in the gates of the daughter of Zion
I may rejoice in Your #9:14 Or deliverancesalvation.

15The nations have sunk down in the pit which they have made;
In the net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.
16Yahweh has made Himself known;
He has executed judgment.

17¶The wicked will #9:17 Or turnreturn to Sheol,
Even all the nations who forget God.

18For the needy will not always be forgotten,

19Arise, O Yahweh, do not let man prevail;
Let the nations be judged before You.
20Put them in fear, O Yahweh;
Let the nations know that they are but men. Selah.
