Psalm 26
Give Justice to Me, O Yahweh
Of David.
1Give justice to me, O Yahweh, for I have walked in my integrity,
And I have trusted in Yahweh; I will not waver.
2Test me, O Yahweh, and try me;
Refine my #26:2 Lit kidneys, figurative for inner manmind and my heart.
3For Your lovingkindness is before my eyes,
And I have walked in Your #26:3 Or faithfulnesstruth.
4I do not sit with worthless men,
And I will not go with #26:4 Or dissemblers, hypocritespretenders.
5I hate the assembly of evildoers,
And I will not sit with the wicked.
6I shall wash my hands in innocence,
So I will go around Your altar, O Yahweh,
7In order to proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving
And to recount all Your #26:7 Or miracleswondrous deeds.
8¶O Yahweh, I love the habitation of Your house
And the place #26:8 Lit of the tabernacle of Your glorywhere Your glory dwells.
9Do not #26:9 Lit gathertake my soul away along with sinners,
Nor my life with men of bloodshed,
10In whose hands is a wicked scheme,
And whose right hand is full of bribes.
11But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity;
Redeem me, and be gracious to me.
12My foot stands on level ground;
In the congregations I shall bless Yahweh.
