Ḥazon (Revelation) 20
20
1And I saw a messenger coming down from the heaven, having the key to the pit of the deep and a great chain in his hand.
2And he seized the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
3and he threw him into the pit of the deep, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should lead the nations no more astray until the thousand years were ended. And after that he has to be released for a little while.
4And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to יהושע and because of the Word of Elohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years
5(and the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended) – this is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of Elohim and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
7And when the thousand years have ended, Satan shall be released from his prison,
8and he shall go out to lead the nations astray which are in the four corners of the earth, Goḡ and Maḡoḡ,#Eze. 38:2 to gather them together for battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea.
9And they came up over the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the set-apart ones and the beloved city. And fire came down from Elohim out of the heaven and consumed them.
10And the devil, who led them astray, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet are. And they shall be tortured day and night forever and ever.
11And I saw a great white throne and Him who was sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.
12And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before the throne, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged from what was written in the books, according to their works.
13And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and She’ol gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
14And Death and She’ol were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.#See Rev. 2:11; Rev. 20:6; Rev. 21:8
15And if anyone was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20
20
Satan confined
1Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain. 2He seized the dragon, the old snake, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3He threw him into the abyss, then locked and sealed it over him. This was to keep him from continuing to deceive the nations until the thousand years were over. After this he must be released for a little while.
The saints rule with Christ
4Then I saw thrones, and people took their seats on them, and judgment was given in their favor.#20.4 Or to them They were the ones who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and God’s word, and those who hadn’t worshipped the beast or its image, who hadn’t received the mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life and ruled with Christ for one thousand years. 5The rest of the dead didn’t come to life until the thousand years were over. This is the first resurrection. 6Favored and holy are those who have a share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will rule with him for one thousand years.
Satan’s defeat
7When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison. 8He will go out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog. He will gather them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the sea. 9They came up across the whole earth and surrounded the saints’ camp, the city that God loves. But fire came down from heaven and consumed them. 10Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet also were. There painful suffering will be inflicted upon them day and night, forever and always.
Final judgment
11Then I saw a great white throne and the one who is seated on it. Before his face both earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. 12I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. Another scroll was opened too; this is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged on the basis of what was written in the scrolls about what they had done. 13The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and the Grave gave up the dead that were in them, and people were judged by what they had done. 14Then Death and the Grave were thrown into the fiery lake. This, the fiery lake, is the second death. 15Then anyone whose name wasn’t found written in the scroll of life was thrown into the fiery lake.
