Ḥazon (Revelation) 21
21
1And I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth,#Isa. 65:17#See also Isa. 66:22 for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more.
2And I, Yoḥanan, saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with men, and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall be with them and be their Elohim.#Lev. 26:11, 12#See also Isa. 7:14; Isa. 8:8; Isa. 8:10; Jer. 31:33; Ezek. 37:27; 2Ch. 6:18
4“And Elohim shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away.”
5And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy.”
6And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment.
7“The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Elohim and he shall be My son.
8“But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”
9And one of the seven messengers who held the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and spoke with me, saying, “Come, I shall show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the set-apart Yerushalayim, descending out of the heaven from Elohim,
11having the esteem of Elohim, and her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal,
12and having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written on them, which are those of the twelve tribes of the children of Yisra’ĕl:#See Ezek. 47:22, 23; Ezek. 48:31-34
13three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve emissaries of the Lamb.
15And he who spoke with me had a golden measuring rod, to measure the city, and its gates, and its wall.
16And the city lies four-cornered, and its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the rod: twelve thousand stadia#Approx. 2216 kilometres or 1377 miles. – the length, and the breadth, and height of it are equal.
17And he measured its wall: hundred and forty-four forearms,#Approx. 66 metres or 216 feet. according to the measure of a man, that is, of a messenger.
18And the structure of its wall was jasper. And the city was clean gold, like clear glass.
19And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,
20the fifth sardonyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls – each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was clean gold, like transparent glass.
22And I saw no Dwelling Place in it, for יהוה Ěl Shaddai is its Dwelling Place, and the Lamb.
23And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it, for the esteem of Elohim lightened it, and the Lamb is its lamp.
24And the nations, of those who are saved, shall walk in its light,#See Isa. 60:3 and the sovereigns of the earth bring their esteem into it.
25And its gates shall not be shut at all by day, for night shall not be there.
26And they shall bring the esteem and the appreciation of the nations into it.
27And there shall by no means enter into it whatever is unclean, neither anyone doing abomination and falsehood,#See Rev. 22:15 and 2Thes. 2:11 but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.#Dan. 12:1

Revelation 21
21
New heaven and new earth
1Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “Look! God’s dwelling is here with humankind. He will dwell with them, and they will be his peoples. God himself will be with them as their God. 4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more. There will be no mourning, crying, or pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” 5Then the one seated on the throne said, “Look! I’m making all things new.” He also said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6Then he said to me, “All is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will freely give water from the life-giving spring. 7Those who emerge victorious will inherit these things. I will be their God, and they will be my sons and daughters. 8But for the cowardly, the faithless, the vile, the murderers, those who commit sexual immorality, those who use drugs and cast spells, the idolaters and all liars—their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”
New Jerusalem
9Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues spoke with me. “Come,” he said, “I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10He took me in a Spirit-inspired trance to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11The city had God’s glory. Its brilliance was like a priceless jewel, like jasper that was as clear as crystal. 12It had a great high wall with twelve gates. By the gates were twelve angels, and on the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel’s sons. 13There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14The city wall had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the Lamb’s twelve apostles.
15The angel who spoke to me had a gold measuring rod with which to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16Now the city was laid out as a square. Its length was the same as its width. He measured the city with the rod, and it was fifteen hundred miles.#21.16 Or twelve thousand stades Its length and width and height were equal. 17He also measured the thickness of its wall. It was two hundred sixteen feet#21.17 Or one hundred forty-four pechon (cubits) thick, as a person—or rather, an angel—measures things. 18The wall was built of jasper, and the city was pure gold, like pure glass. 19The city wall’s foundations were decorated with every kind of jewel. The first foundation was jasper, the second was sapphire, the third was chalcedony, and the fourth was emerald. 20The fifth was sardonyx, the sixth was carnelian, the seventh was chrysolite, and the eighth was beryl. The ninth was topaz, the tenth was chrysoprase, the eleventh was jacinth, and the twelfth was amethyst. 21The twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was made from a single pearl. And the city’s main street was pure gold, as transparent as glass.
22I didn’t see a temple in the city, because its temple is the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb. 23The city doesn’t need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s glory is its light, and its lamp is the Lamb. 24The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. 25Its gates will never be shut by day, and there will be no night there. 26They will bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. 27Nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is vile and deceitful, but only those who are registered in the Lamb’s scroll of life.
