Obedience is when a person yields to explicit instructions from an authority figure. It is one of the most important behaviors with universal impact. The Bible talks about 5 authority structures namely God, Family, Church, Government and Work. Believers are called to a life of obedience. Obedience is about hearing God’s word and doing accordingly.

Light for the Journey is a shortened version of a larger devotional, created to guide you through life’s unpredictable seasons. Whether you’re in joy or pain, calm or chaos, one truth remains: God is the constant. He is your anchor, strength, and hiding place. As Psalm 32:7 says, “You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble…” These daily devotions are filled with encouragement, wisdom, hope, and a little humor to make you laugh along the way. This is the fifth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day.
