Aaron Offers Sacrifices
1The day after the ordination rites were completed, Moses called Aaron and his sons and the leaders of Israel. 2He said to Aaron, “Take a young bull and a ram without any defects and offer them to the LORD, the bull for a sin offering and the ram for a burnt offering. 3Then tell the people of Israel to take a male goat for a sin offering, a one-year-old calf, and a one-year-old lamb without any defects for a burnt offering, 4and a bull and a ram for a fellowship offering. They are to sacrifice them to the LORD with the grain offering mixed with oil. They must do this because the LORD will appear to them today.”
5They brought to the front of the Tent everything that Moses had commanded, and the whole community assembled there to worship the LORD. 6Moses said, “The LORD has commanded you to do all this, so that the dazzling light of his presence can appear to you.” 7#Heb 7.27Then he said to Aaron, “Go to the altar and offer the sin offering and the burnt offering to take away your sins and the sins of the people. Present this offering to take away the sins of the people, just as the LORD commanded.”
8Aaron went to the altar and killed the young bull which was for his own sin offering. 9His sons brought him the blood, and he dipped his finger in it, put some of it on the projections at the corners of the altar, and poured out the rest of it at the base of the altar. 10Then he burnt on the altar the fat, the kidneys, and the best part of the liver, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 11But he burnt the meat and the skin outside the camp.
12He killed the animal which was for his own burnt offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he threw it on all four sides of the altar. 13They handed him the head and the other pieces of the animal, and he burnt them on the altar. 14Then he washed the internal organs and the hind legs and burnt them on the altar on top of the rest of the burnt offering.
15After that, he presented the people's offerings. He took the goat that was to be offered for the people's sins, killed it, and offered it, as he had done with his own sin offering. 16He also brought the animal for the burnt offering and offered it according to the regulations. 17He presented the grain offering and took a handful of flour and burnt it on the altar. (This was in addition to the daily burnt offering.) 18#Lev 3.1–11He killed the bull and the ram as a fellowship offering for the people. His sons brought him the blood, and he threw it on all four sides of the altar. 19Aaron put the fat parts of the bull and the ram 20on top of the breasts of the animals and carried it all to the altar. He burnt the fat on the altar 21and presented the breasts and the right hind legs as the special gift to the LORD for the priests, as Moses had commanded.

Num 6.22–26
When Aaron had finished all the sacrifices, he raised his hands over the people and blessed them, and then stepped down. 23Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of the LORD's presence, and when they came out, they blessed the people, and the dazzling light of the LORD's presence appeared to all the people. 24Suddenly the LORD sent a fire, and it consumed the burnt offering and the fat parts on the altar. When the people saw it, they all shouted and bowed down with their faces to the ground.

The Priestly Ministry Inaugurated
1On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron, his sons, and the elders of Israel. # Ex 18:12 2He said to Aaron, “Take a young bull for a sin # Or purification offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, # Ex 29:1 and present them before the Lord. 3And tell the Israelites: # Sam, LXX read elders of Israel Take a male goat for a sin offering; a calf and a lamb, male yearlings without blemish, for a burnt offering; 4an ox and a ram for a fellowship offering to sacrifice before the Lord; and a grain offering mixed with oil. For today the Lord is going to appear # Gn 35:9 to you. ”
5They brought what Moses had commanded to the front of the tent of meeting, and the whole community came forward and stood before the Lord. 6Moses said, “This is what the Lord commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord # Ex 40:34; Lk 9:32 may appear to you.” 7Then Moses said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering; make atonement for yourself and the people. # LXX reads and your household # Heb 5:1-3; 7:26-27 Sacrifice the people’s offering and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded.”
8So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself. 9Aaron’s sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. He poured out the blood at the base of the altar. 10He burned the fat, the kidneys, and the fatty lobe of the liver from the sin offering on the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses. 11He burned up the flesh and the hide # Lv 7:8 outside the camp. # Ex 29:14; Lv 4:8-10,12,21; 8:17; 16:27
12Then he slaughtered the burnt offering. Aaron’s sons brought him the blood, and he sprinkled it on all sides of the altar. 13They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, along with the head, and he burned them on the altar. 14He washed the entrails and the shanks and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.
15Aaron presented the people’s offering. He took the male goat for the people’s sin offering, slaughtered it, and made a sin offering with it as he did before. 16He presented the burnt offering and sacrificed it according to the regulation. # Lv 18:26 17Next he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering. # Ex 29:38-42; Lv 2:2
18Finally, he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s fellowship sacrifice. Aaron’s sons brought him the blood, and he sprinkled it on all sides of the altar. 19They also brought the fat portions from the ox and the ram — the fat tail, the fat surrounding the entrails, the kidneys, and the fatty lobe of the liver — 20and placed these on the breasts. Aaron burned the fat portions on the altar, 21but he waved the breasts # Ex 29:26-27; Lv 7:30-34; 8:26; 10:14-15; Nm 6:20; 18:18 and the right thigh as a presentation offering # Ex 29:24 before the Lord, as Moses had commanded. # Some Hb mss, LXX, Sam read as the Lord commanded Moses
22Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed # Gn 14:19; Nm 6:24-26 them. He came down after sacrificing the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the fellowship offering. 23Moses and Aaron then entered the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. 24Fire came from the Lord and consumed # 1Kg 18:38-39; 2Ch 7:1 the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted # Ps 35:27; Is 12:6; 24:14 and fell facedown on the ground. # Nm 16:4
