Revelation 19
19
1After this, I heard what sounded like a lot of voices in heaven, and they were shouting,
“Praise the Lord!
To our God belongs
the glorious power to save,
2because his judgments#Dt 32.43; 2 K 9.7.
are honest and fair.
That filthy prostitute
ruined the earth
with shameful deeds.
But God has judged her
and made her pay
the price for murdering
his servants.”
3Then the crowd shouted,#Is 34.10.
“Praise the Lord!
Smoke will never stop rising
from her burning body.”
4After this, the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures all knelt before the throne of God and worshipped him. They said, “Amen! Praise the Lord!”
The marriage supper of the Lamb
5From the throne a voice said,#Ps 115.13.
“If you worship
and fear our God,
give praise to him,
no matter who you are.”
6Then I heard what seemed to be a large crowd that sounded like a roaring flood and loud thunder all mixed together. They were saying,#Ez 1.24; Ps 93.1; 97.1; 99.1.
“Praise the Lord!
Our Lord God All-Powerful
now rules as king.
7So we will be glad and happy
and give him praise.
The wedding day of the Lamb
is here,
and his bride is ready.
8She will be given
a wedding dress
made of pure
and shining linen.
This linen stands for
the good things
God's people have done.”
9Then the angel told me, “Put this in writing. God will bless everyone who is invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” The angel also said, “These things that God has said are true.”#Mt 22.2,3.
10I knelt at the feet of the angel and began to worship him. But the angel said, “Don't do that! I am a servant, just like you and everyone else who tells about Jesus. Don't worship anyone but God. Everyone who tells about Jesus does it by the power of the Spirit.”
The rider on the white horse
11I looked and saw that heaven was open, and a white horse was there. Its rider was called Faithful and True, and he is always fair when he judges or goes to war.#Ez 1.1; Ps 96.13; Is 11.4. 12He had eyes like flames of fire, and he was wearing a lot of crowns. His name was written on him, but he was the only one who knew what the name meant.#Dn 10.6.
13The rider wore a robe that was covered with#19.13 covered with: Some manuscripts have “sprinkled with”. blood, and he was known as “The Word of God”. 14He was followed by armies from heaven that rode on horses and were dressed in pure white linen. 15From his mouth a sharp sword went out to attack the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod and will show the fierce anger of God All-Powerful by trampling on the grapes in the pit where wine is made.#Ps 2.9; Is 63.3; Jl 3.13; Rev 14.20. 16On the part of the robe that covered his thigh was written, “KING OF KINGS AND Lord OF LORDS”.
17I then saw an angel standing on the sun, and he shouted to all the birds flying in the sky, “Come and join in God's great feast!#Ez 39.17-20. 18You can eat the flesh of kings, rulers, leaders, horses, riders, free people, slaves, important people, and everyone else.”
19I also saw the beast and all kings of the earth come together. They fought against the rider on the white horse and against his army. 20But the beast was captured and so was the false prophet. This is the same prophet who had performed miracles for the beast, so that he could fool everyone who had the mark of the beast and worshipped the idol. The beast and the false prophet were thrown alive into a lake of burning sulphur.#Rev 13.1-18. 21But the rest of their army was killed by the sword that came from the mouth of the rider on the horse. Then birds stuffed themselves on the dead bodies.

Ḥazon (Revelation) 19

1And after this I heard a loud voice of a great crowd in the heaven, saying, “Halleluyah! Deliverance and esteem and respect and power to יהוה our Elohim!
2“Because true and righteous are His judgments,#Psa. 19:9 because He has judged the great whore who corrupted the earth with her whoring. And He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.”#Deu. 32:43
3And a second time they said, “Halleluyah! And her smoke rises up forever and ever!”
4And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped Elohim who sat on the throne, saying, “Amĕn! Halleluyah!”
5And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our Elohim, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!”#Psa. 115:13
6And I heard as the voice of a great crowd, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunders, saying, “Halleluyah, for יהוה Ěl Shaddai reigns!
7“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him praise, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife prepared herself.”
8And to her it was given to be dressed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the set-apart ones.
9And he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who have been called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true words of Elohim.”
10And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who possess the witness of יהושע. Worship Elohim! For the witness of יהושע is the spirit of prophecy.”
11And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights.#See Acts 10:42
12And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself –#See Rev. 2:17
13and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood – and His Name is called: The Word of יהוה.#See John 1:1; John 1:14
14And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
15And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall shepherd them with a rod of iron.#Psa. 2:9 And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Ěl Shaddai.
16And on His robe and on His thigh#“Thigh”, but possibly flag. See Explanatory Notes "Thigh" He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.
17And I saw one messenger standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, “Come and gather together for the supper of the great Elohim,
18to eat the flesh of sovereigns, and the flesh of commanders, and the flesh of strong ones, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both small and great.”
19And I saw the beast, and the sovereigns of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to fight Him who sat on the horse and His army.
20And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he led astray those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. The two were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulphur.
21And the rest were killed with the sword which came from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse, and all the birds were filled with their flesh.
