26
1And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and unto El’azar [God has helped] the son of Aharon [Bright, Very High] the priest, saying,
2Take the sum of all the congregation of the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], from twenty years old and upward, throughout their fathers’ house, all that are able to go to war in Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God].
3And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and El’azar [God has helped] the priest spoke with them in the plains of Mo’av [Seed of my Father] by Yarden [Descender] [near] Yericho [Its Moon], saying,
4 [Take the sum of the people], from twenty years old and upward; as the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) commanded Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], which went forth out of the land of Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place].
5Re’uven [Behold a Son], the eldest son of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]: the children of Re’uven [Behold a Son]; Hanokh [Dedicated], [of whom comes] the family of the Hanokhi [Dedicated]: of Pallu [Distinguished], the family of the Pallui [Distinguished Ones]:
6Of Hetzron [surrounded by a wall], the family of the Hetzroni: of Karmi [Fruitful, Noble], the family of the Karmi.
7These [are] the families of the Re’uveni [behold, a son!]: and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8And the sons of Pallu [Distinguished]; ‘Eli’av [My Father is God].
9And the sons of ‘Eli’av [My Father is God]; N’mu’el [Day of God], and Datan [belonging to a fountain], and Aviram [My Father is Exalted]. This [is that] Datan [belonging to a fountain] and Aviram [My Father is Exalted], [which were] famous in the congregation, who strove against Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and against Aharon [Bright, Very High] in the company of Korakh [Bald], when they strove against the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate):
10And the earth opened her mouth, and swallow (to approve, commend, accept)ed them up together with Korakh [Bald], when that company died, what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.
11Yet the children of Korakh [Bald] died not.
12The sons of Shim’on [he who hears] after their families: of N’mu’el [Day of God], the family of the N’mu’eli: of Yamin [Right Hand], the family of the Yamini: of Yakhin [He will establish], the family of the Yakhini:
13Of Zerach [Rising], the family of the Zarchi: of Sha’ul [Desired], the family of the Sha’uli.
14These [are] the families of the Shimoni, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.
15The children of Gad [Good Fortune with Troublesome Effort] after their families: of Tz’fon [Treasure], the family of the Tz’foni: of Haggi [Festive], the family of the Haggi: of Shuni [Fortunate], the family of the Shuni:
16Of Ozni [My Hearing], the family of the Ozni [My Hearing]: of ‘Eri [Watchful], the family of the ‘Eri:
17Of Arod, the family of the Arodi [I Shall Subdue]: of Ar’eli, the family of the Ar’eli.
18These [are] the families of the children of Gad [Good Fortune with Troublesome Effort] according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.
19The sons of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] [were] Er and Onan: and Er and Onan died in the land of Kena’an [Merchant].
20And the sons of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] after their families were; of Shelah [A Petition], the family of the Shelani: of Partzi [Breach (breaking forth; a break; opening, inlet)], the family of the Partzi: of Zerach [Rising], the family of the Zarchi.
21And the sons of Partzi [Breach (breaking forth; a break; opening, inlet)] were; of Hetzron [surrounded by a wall], the family of the Hetzroni: of Hamul [Spared], the family of the Hamuli.
22These [are] the families of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and sixteen thousand and five hundred.
23 [Of] the sons of Yissakhar [There Is Recompense] after their families: [of] Tola [Worm], the family of the Tola’i: of Puvah [Splendid], the family of the Puni:
24Of Yashuv [He Will Return], the family of the Yashuvi: of Shimron [Watch-Height], the family of the Shimroni.
25These [are] the families of Yissakhar [There Is Recompense] according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and four thousand and three hundred.
26 [Of] the sons of Z’vulun [Glorious Dwelling Place] after their families: of Sered [Fear], the family of the Sardi: of Elon [Mighty], the family of the Eloni: of Yachle’el [God Waits], the family of the Yachle’eli.
27These [are] the families of the Z’vuloni according to those that were numbered of them, threescore thousand and five hundred.
28The sons of Yosef [(God) He Shall Add] after their families [were] M’nasheh [Causing to Forget] and Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful].
29Of the sons of M’nasheh [Causing to Forget]: of Makhir [Sold], the family of the Makhiri: and Makhir [Sold] begat (to be father of; be ancestor of) Gil’ad [Rocky Region]: of Gil’ad [Rocky Region] [come] the family of the Gil’adi.
30These [are] the sons of Gil’ad [Rocky Region]: [of] Ee’ezr [No Help], the family of the Ee’ezri: of Helek [Portion], the family of the Helki:
31And [of] Asri’el [I Shall Be a Prince with God], the family of the Asri’eli: and [of] Sh’khem [Shoulder], the family of the Shikhmi:
32And [of] Sh’mida [Wise], the family of the Shemida’i: and [of] Hefer [A Well], the family of the Hefri.
33And Tz’lof’chad [First-Born] the son of Hefer [A Well] had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Tz’lof’chad [First-Born] [were] Machlah [Disease], and No’ah [Motion], Hoglah [Partidge], Machlah [Queen], and Tirtzah [Favourable].
34These [are] the families of M’nasheh [Causing to Forget], and those that were numbered of them, fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
35These [are] the sons of Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful] after their families: of Shutelach [Noise of Breaking], the family of the Shutelachi: of Bakher [Young Camel], the family of the Bakhri: of Tachan [Camp], the family of the Tachani.
36And these [are] the sons of Shutelach [Noise of Breaking]: of ‘Eran [Watcher], the family of the ‘Erani.
37These [are] the families of the sons of Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful] according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred. These [are] the sons of Yosef [(God) He Shall Add] after their families.
38The sons of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] after their families: of Bela [Destruction], the family of the Bela’i: of Ashbel [Fire of Bel], the family of the Ashbeli: of Achiram [Brother of Mother], the family of the Achirai [Brother of Mother]:
39Of Sh’fufam [Serpent], the family of the Shufami: of Hufam [Coast-man], the family of the Hufami.
40And the sons of Bela [Destruction] were Ard [I shall Subdue] and Na’aman [Pleasantness]: [of Ard [I shall Subdue]], the family of the Ardi: [and] of Na’aman [Pleasantness], the family of the Na’ami.
41These [are] the sons of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength] after their families: and they that were numbered of them [were] forty and five thousand and six hundred.
42These [are] the sons of Dan [Judge] after their families: of Shucham [Pit-digger], the family of the Shuchami. These [are] the families of Dan [Judge] after their families.
43All the families of the Shuchami, according to those that were numbered of them, [were] threescore and four thousand and four hundred.
44 [Of] the children of Asher [Happy] after their families: of Yimnah [Right Hand], the family of the Yimnah: of Yishvi [He Resembles Me], the family of the Yishvi: of B’ri’i [With a Friend], the family of the B’ri’i.
45Of the sons of B’ri’i [With a Friend]: of Hever [Friend/Comrade], the family of the Hevri: of Malki’el [My King is God], the family of the Malki’eli.
46And the name of the daughter of Asher [Happy] [was] Serach [The Prince Breathed].
47These [are] the families of the sons of Asher [Happy] according to those that were numbered of them; [who were] fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
48 [Of] the sons of Naftali [My Wrestling] after their families: of Yachtze’el [God Divides], the family of the Yachtze’eli: of Guni [My Defender], the family of the Guni:
49Of Yitzer [Forming], the family of the Yetzri: of Shillem [Repaid], the family of the Shillemi.
50These [are] the families of Naftali [My Wrestling] according to their families: and they that were numbered of them [were] forty and five thousand and four hundred.
51These [were] the numbered of the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.
52And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], saying,
53Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.
54To many youi shall give the more inheritance, and to few youi shall give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
55Yet the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.
56According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few.
57And these [are] they that were numbered of the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to] after their families: of Gershon [Exile], the family of the Gershuni [Exiled Ones]: of K’hat [assembly, congregation], the family of the K’hati: of M’rari [Bitter], the family of the M’rari.
58These [are] the families of the Levi’im (Levites) [Joined to]: the family of the Livni [White Ones], the family of the Khevroni, the family of the Machli, the family of the Mushi, the family of the Korchi. And K’hat [assembly, congregation] begat (to be father of; be ancestor of) ‘Amram [exalted people].
59And the name of ‘Amram [exalted people]’s wife [was] Yokheved [Jehovah is Glory], the daughter of Levi (Levite) [Adhesion, Joiner], whom [her mother] bore to Levi (Levite) [Adhesion, Joiner] in Mitzrayim [Egypt - The Narrow Place]: and she bore unto ‘Amram [exalted people] Aharon [Bright, Very High] and Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters], and Miryam [rebellion] their sister.
60And unto Aharon [Bright, Very High] was born Nadav [Generous], and Avihu [he is my father], El’azar [God has helped], and Itamar [Coast of Palms].
61And Nadav [Generous] and Avihu [he is my father] died, when they offered strange fire before the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).
62And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all males from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], because there was no inheritance given them among the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God].
63These [are] they that were numbered by Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and El’azar [God has helped] the priest, who numbered the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] in the plains of Mo’av [Seed of my Father] by Yarden [Descender] [near] Yericho [Its Moon].
64But among these there was not a man of them whom Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] and Aharon [Bright, Very High] the priest numbered, when they numbered the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] in the wilderness of Sinai.
65For the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Kalev [Dog] the son of Y’funeh [He Will Face], and Y’hoshua [Yehovah is Salvation] the son of Nun [Posterity].
