About the Book of Numbers
This is the story of Israel's people. They were travelling from Egypt to a land called Canaan. They were in the desert for 40 years.
Moses was the man that the Lord chose to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Aaron was Moses' brother. He was the first priest that the Israelites had.
Chapters 1-10 describe what happened at Sinai mountain. They tell us about the Israelites at the start of their journey.
Chapters 11-20 describe what happened in the desert. This was near to a place called Kadesh.
Chapters 21-36 describe what happened when the Israelites arrived near to Canaan.
