About 2 Samuel
The books of 1 and 2 Samuel were once one book.
At the end of 1 Samuel, we read about the deaths of King Saul and his son, Jonathan.
2 Samuel tells us about David as Israel's king. #1:0 The Israelites were the descendants of Jacob, who was also called Israel. Jacob's 12 sons became the ancestors of Israel's 12 tribes. The land that God gave to them as their home was called Israel. He won many fights against Israel's enemies. He obeyed God for almost all his life, and God was happy with him.
But sometimes David did not obey God. When David said sorry to God, God forgave him. But because David did some wrong things, his own family sometimes gave him trouble.
