Mama, welcome to Mornings with Jesus. This Christmas season, begin each day rooted in the loving presence of Christ: Emmanuel, God with us. Each morning, a mom like you meets you right where you are, reminding you that you are deeply seen, fully known, and never alone. As you care for your family and prepare your home, let Jesus, the true gift of Christmas, refresh your heart and guide your steps.

Micah’s prophetic ministry called attention to the oppression of the poor, the injustice of leaders, and the unfaithful messages of false prophets. The solution to Judah’s sinfulness is simple: “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8). Despite their sinfulness, Micah prophesies a time of peace when God will gather a remnant of His people to be ruled by a Shepherd-King born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2-5).

Over the course of the next 21 days, we’d like to invite you to go deeper in your relationship with God through the practice of fasting. This devotional plan is designed to help guide you through your fast with daily Bible reading and reflective questions. We hope at the end of your 21-day journey, you will have grown closer to Jesus and more like Jesus!

We are surrounded by injustice and pain. We see it not only in our world but also in our own lives and it can be disheartening and overwhelming. But we are not without hope. This is what Micah is all about. He is not afraid to get in our face about some hard topics like sin and judgement.
