Praise for the Lord’s Works
1Hallelujah!#111:1 The lines of this poem form an acrostic.
I will praise the Lord with all my heart
in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.#Ps 35:18; 149:1
2The Lord’s works are great,
studied by all who delight in them.#Ps 92:5; 143:5
3All that he does is splendid and majestic;#Ps 145:5
his righteousness endures forever.#Ps 112:3,9; 119:142
4He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered.#Ps 78:4
The Lord is gracious and compassionate.#Ps 103:8; 145:8
5He has provided food for those who fear him;#Mt 6:31–33
he remembers his covenant forever.#Ps 105:8
6He has shown his people the power of his works
by giving them the inheritance of the nations.#Dt 4:38; 32:8; Ps 78:55
7The works of his hands are truth and justice;
all his instructions are trustworthy.#Ps 19:7; 93:5
8They are established forever and ever,
enacted in truth and in uprightness.#Ps 119:160; Is 40:8; Mt 5:18
9He has sent redemption to his people.#Lk 1:68
He has ordained his covenant forever.

Great Are the Lord’s Works
1 # 111:1 This psalm is an acrostic poem, each line beginning with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet #See Ps. 104:35 Praise the Lord!
I #Ps. 138:1 will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
in the company of #[Ps. 149:1]the upright, in the congregation.
2Great are the #Ps. 92:5; Rev. 3:2; [Ps. 139:14] works of the Lord,

Ps. 119:45, 94, 155; [Ps. 112:1; 143:5] studied by all who delight in them.

Ps. 145:5 Full of splendor and majesty is his work,
and his #Ps. 112:3, 9righteousness endures forever.
4He has #[Ps. 78:4]caused his wondrous works to be remembered;
the Lord is gracious and merciful.
5He provides food for those who fear him;

7The works of his hands are faithful and just;
