Miqueias 5:6

Seven daily readings for the month of December from Come, Let Us Adore Him: A Daily Advent Devotional by best-selling author Paul David Tripp will help you slow down, prepare your heart, and focus on what matters most: adoring our Savior, Jesus.

Micah’s prophetic ministry called attention to the oppression of the poor, the injustice of leaders, and the unfaithful messages of false prophets. The solution to Judah’s sinfulness is simple: “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God” (Micah 6:8). Despite their sinfulness, Micah prophesies a time of peace when God will gather a remnant of His people to be ruled by a Shepherd-King born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2-5).

Jesus’ birth is much more than a simple story we tell at Christmas. Jesus’ birth is the foundation of our faith; without this miraculous birth, there is no Savior. Through this 7-day plan, watch clips from the iBIBLE animation of the birth of Jesus to witness this world-changing event for yourself. Dig deeper with us into the shepherds’ visit to the manger, the census that caused Joseph and Mary to travel to Bethlehem, and more to understand the true significance of Christmas.
