Psalms 101
101
A Psalm of David.
1I will sing of mercy and justice;
to You, O Lord, will I sing praises. # Ps 89:1
2I will consider the way that is blameless.
Oh, when will You come to me?
I will walk within my house
with a perfect heart. # 1Ki 9:4
3I will set no wicked thing
before my eyes.
I hate the work of those who fall away; # Dt 15:9; Ps 40:4
it shall not cling to me.
4A perverse heart shall be far from me; # Pr 11:20
I will know no wickedness.
5Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, # Ps 50:20
him will I destroy;
whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart, # Ps 18:27
him will I not endure.
6My eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land,
that they may dwell with me;
he who walks in a blameless way,
he shall serve me.
7He who works deceit
shall not dwell within my house;
he who tells lies
shall not remain in my presence.
8Early will I destroy
all the wicked of the land,
that I may cut off all the evildoers
from the city of the Lord. # Ps 48:8; 75:10
