Psalms 1
1
1Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, # Job 21:16
or stand in the path of sinners,
or sit in the seat of mockers; # Jer 15:17
2but his delight is in the law of the Lord, # Ps 119:35
and in His law he meditates day and night. # Jos 1:8
3He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, # Jer 17:8
that brings forth its fruit in its season;
its leaf will not wither,
and whatever he does will prosper. # Ge 39:3
4The wicked are not so,
but are like the chaff
which the wind drives away. # Job 21:18; Isa 17:13
5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, # Ps 5:5; Lk 21:36
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, # Na 1:7; 2Ti 2:19
but the way of the wicked will perish.
