Psalms 75
75
For the choir director: A psalm of Asaph. A song to be sung to the tune “Do Not Destroy!”
1We thank you, O God!
We give thanks because you are near.
People everywhere tell of your wonderful deeds.
2God says, “At the time I have planned,
I will bring justice against the wicked.
3When the earth quakes and its people live in turmoil,
I am the one who keeps its foundations firm. Interlude
4“I warned the proud, ‘Stop your boasting!’
I told the wicked, ‘Don’t raise your fists!
5Don’t raise your fists in defiance at the heavens
or speak with such arrogance.’”
6For no one on earth—from east or west,
or even from the wilderness—
should raise a defiant fist.#75:6 Hebrew should lift.
7It is God alone who judges;
he decides who will rise and who will fall.
8For the Lord holds a cup in his hand
that is full of foaming wine mixed with spices.
He pours out the wine in judgment,
and all the wicked must drink it,
draining it to the dregs.
9But as for me, I will always proclaim what God has done;
I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10For God says, “I will break the strength of the wicked,
but I will increase the power of the godly.”

สรรเสริญพระเจ้าผู้พิพากษา
ถึงหัวหน้านักร้อง ให้ร้องเพลงนี้ตามทำนอง “อย่าทำลาย” เพลงสดุดีของอาสาฟ
1ข้าแต่พระเจ้า พวกเราสรรเสริญพระองค์ พวกเราสรรเสริญพระองค์ พระองค์นั้นอยู่ใกล้
ผู้คนต่างพูดถึงสิ่งน่าทึ่งต่างๆที่พระองค์ทำ
2พระเจ้าพูดว่า “เมื่อเวลาที่เรากำหนดไว้นั้นมาถึง
เราจะพิพากษาอย่างยุติธรรม
3เมื่อแผ่นดินโลกและคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในมันสั่นไหว
เรานี่แหละเป็นผู้ที่ทำให้ฐานรากนั้นมั่นคง เซลาห์
4เราบอกพวกที่เย่อหยิ่งจองหอง ‘เลิกโอ้อวดได้แล้ว’
เราบอกคนชั่วช้า ‘เลิกวางกล้ามใหญ่โตได้แล้ว
5เลิกวางท่าราวกับว่ามีอำนาจสูงสุดเสียเหลือเกิน#75:5 เลิกวางท่า … เสียเหลือเกิน หรือแปลตรงๆได้ว่า “อย่าชูเขาสัตว์สูง” เขาสัตว์ หมายถึง อำนาจ หรือพละกำลัง
ไม่ต้องเชิดหน้าพูดจาโอ้อวดหรอก’”
6เพราะการยกย่องไม่ได้มาจากทางทิศตะวันออกหรือทิศตะวันตก
หรือมาจากที่เปล่าเปลี่ยว
7แต่พระเจ้าเป็นผู้ตัดสิน
ทำให้คนหนึ่งตกต่ำ แล้วทำให้อีกคนหนึ่งได้รับการยกย่อง
8เพราะพระยาห์เวห์ถือจอกแห่งการพิพากษาอยู่ในมือ จอกนั้นเต็มไปด้วยเหล้าองุ่นฤทธิ์แรงที่ผสมเครื่องเทศ
เมื่อพระองค์เทเหล้าองุ่นแห่งความโกรธ-เกรี้ยวจากจอกนั้น คนชั่วทุกคนในโลกนี้จะต้องดื่มมันจนเกลี้ยง ไม่เหลือแม้แต่ตะกอนก้นถ้วย
9ส่วนข้าพเจ้านั้นจะเล่าเรื่องราวของพระองค์อยู่เสมอ
ข้าพเจ้าจะร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระเจ้าแห่งยาโคบ
10พระเจ้าพูดว่า “เราจะตัดกำลังของพวกคนชั่ว
และเพิ่มกำลังให้กับคนดี”#75:10 เราจะตัด … ให้กับคนดี หรือแปลตรงๆได้ว่า “เราจะตัดเขาสัตว์ของคนชั่วทิ้งไป และเราจะยกเขาสัตว์ของคนดีขึ้น”
