Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is. Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power. Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him. For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises. Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.

The Psalms are full of rich truth and deep emotion. The writers didn’t ignore the world around them or try to pretend their problems weren’t real. Instead, they drew from the truth they knew about God (his words, his ways, his character) to shape their worship and worldview. We have the privilege and joy of drawing from this well of truth to encourage our own souls today.
No matter what circumstances you face, there is power and peace available to you. Rediscover the goodness of God in this 5-day devotional from Life.Church Worship, based on the new album, God So Good.

This six-week devotional will refocus your attention on Scripture and remind you of God’s promises of peace, rest, and assurance when you trust Him for what you cannot see.

As we praise God today, let's keep in mind the heavenly worship service we'll one day take part in: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain . . . !” (see Revelation 5:11-12). Here's how we praise, says Charles Spurgeon: “We simply say what [God] is! ‘You are this and You are that.’ There is no other praise.” Why not invite friends and family to “join the chorus” with you?
