“Go to the entrance of the LORD’s Temple, and give this message to the people: ‘O Judah, listen to this message from the LORD! Listen to it, all of you who worship here! This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says: “‘Even now, if you quit your evil ways, I will let you stay in your own land. But don’t be fooled by those who promise you safety simply because the LORD’s Temple is here. They chant, “The LORD’s Temple is here! The LORD’s Temple is here!” But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. Then I will let you stay in this land that I gave to your ancestors to keep forever. “‘Don’t be fooled into thinking that you will never suffer because the Temple is here. It’s a lie! Do you really think you can steal, murder, commit adultery, lie, and burn incense to Baal and all those other new gods of yours, and then come here and stand before me in my Temple and chant, “We are safe!”—only to go right back to all those evils again? Don’t you yourselves admit that this Temple, which bears my name, has become a den of thieves? Surely I see all the evil going on there. I, the LORD, have spoken!

5 Days
This five-day journey through scripture outlines our responsibility as believers in bringing about justice and racial reconciliation.
Our highest privilege is to worship our holy and gracious Creator. But how do we worship God in a way that is pleasing to Him? What should the style and structure of the church’s worship look like, and what about the state of our heart as we come before the Lord in praise? This five-day study touches on each of these questions, providing a brief introduction to biblical worship.
God’s people face a daily choice between obedience and obstinance. It marked Israel’s history. It marks ours too. Acts 7 is a face-off between obedience and obstinance as Jesus’s Kingdom continues to grow. This 5-day Plan continues a journey through the Book of Acts, the Bible’s gripping sequel of Jesus at work in the life of His followers as He expands His Kingdom to the ends of the Earth. It’s a journey on what it means to be a Christian. It’s a story in which you have a role to play.
When Christian leaders fail, people are harmed, and the name of Jesus is disgraced. Sadly, there have been many examples of this in recent decades, and many of us have been impacted personally by it. This 5-day plan (part 2 of the Embracing the Fall series) will help you find hope amid the losses and recognise the opportunities we all have to renew a culture of honor for the whole church.
