It provides a chronological reading program that endeavors to place all biblical passages in their date order. Part Eight of this twelve-part one-year reading plan is titled ‘A Destroyer Carries Judah into Exile: 629 BC–587 BC’.

August follows Judah’s final decline, the fall of Jerusalem, and the beginning of exile through the writings of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Lamentations, Obadiah, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, and Nahum. You’ll witness God’s warnings, His judgment on sin, and His compassion for a broken people. This month highlights God’s sovereignty, justice, and faithfulness, reminding us that even in seasons of discipline and loss, He continues to offer hope and restoration.
