Addiction affects one in every five people worldwide. Many of us walk alongside a loved one who struggles with addiction. How best can we help them? How do we look after ourselves along the way? Over the next five days, we’ll reflect on this journey. To help us, we’ll explore the journey of God’s people through the wilderness – from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the promised land.

This 8-day Bible teaching plan explores the final chapters of Genesis, tracing Joseph’s story and the surprising ways God works through sin, suffering, and failure. Each day demonstrates how God remains faithful when people falter, how grace supersedes guilt, and how the story of Genesis ultimately points us to Jesus. In this 11-day plan, you will study Genesis 37-50 which will take you through the life of Jacob and his 12 sons who later became the 12 tribes of Israel. These chapters highlight the life of one of those sons, Joseph, and his journey of hardship and forgiveness. We hope you’ll learn the importance of trusting God through difficult times and learning to forgive those who hurt or disappoint you.
