Romans 7:1-2

Are you a born-again Christian? And do you still sin from time to time? You aren’t the only one. But how can you sin if you are born again? How is sinning possible if you have become a new man in Christ? Discover in this plan what old man versus new man means and why sin no longer needs to have dominion in your life.

We are body, soul and spirit. Flesh is the term for our Godless nature. Have you noticed a struggle within you, between your spirit and your flesh? The apostle Paul explains this struggle in chapters 6, 7, and 8 of the Epistle to the Romans. Paul does not justify mediocrity there, but explains how to live in Jesus' victory by living in the Spirit.

Jesus promised his followers that they never had to walk in fear because He overcame the worst this world could bring against them. Over the course of 11 days, we will examine Romans 5-8 to better understand how following Jesus Christ enables us to live free from fear, failure, demands, and death itself.

Considered one of the most theologically rich books of the New Testament, Romans is a treatise on the theology of salvation. Beginning with the hopelessness of our sin-filled state, Paul shows how God provides righteousness to His people through Jesus Christ. In Romans, we are reminded that justification does not come from status or moral achievement but from belief in the substitutionary death and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ.
