Psalms 102:5

If you are struggling with grief, know you are not alone. Scripture is filled with examples of people who experienced the death of someone they held dear. Whether your loss was recent or not, God is able to comfort you. This five-day devotional plan will remind you of His care for those who grieve and mourn.

Psalm 103 is a typical Psalm of Praise. In this Psalm, the Psalmist is calling on the people of God to give thanks and praise to God for God’s past blessings, God’s present blessings, and God’s promised future eternal blessings.

Grief is a curveball no one is ever prepared to catch. Loss at any week of pregnancy cannot be trivialized. Parents mourn the loss of a family member who was to join them. What joys and challenges were ahead? This is part 1 of a 2-part plan that will help us know that God is right there with us as we navigate grief over our children who have gone back to heaven, and trust Him to heal our broken hearts in a way only He can.

Sometimes problems seem insurmountable, like a steep rock rising right in front of us. Where do we find help then? Psalm 121 helps us find the answer: “My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
