Galatians 4:12-16

Jesus Christ has a right to be God’s heir and to receive the inheritance. We do not. We enjoy this wonderful prospect and promise only by God’s grace. It is only because He has brought us into His family that we are joint-heirs with Christ.

People today love to talk about identity. Who am I? How should I view myself? How should I relate to the world around me? As Christians, we cannot talk long about our identity without pointing to the work of God on us, the relationship we have with him, and the purpose he has for us.
