Burdens are spiritual weights laid upon our hearts by the Holy Spirit, carrying within them the will of God for a people, a place, or specific situations and seasons. They are divine promptings that invite us to partner with God in bringing His purposes to pass. As believers, we have all, at one time or another, received such burdens from the Lord. Some have responded faithfully, praying them through and releasing what God intended, while others have set them aside—either out of ignorance or by choice.
