This plan will explore what the letter of 1 Thessalonians teaches us in four major areas. 1) WHO GOD IS: God’s character and nature 2) WHO WE ARE: the identity of humanity and/or believers 3) WHAT WE BELIEVE: core Christian doctrines 4) HOW WE LIVE: putting faith into action

During Advent, not only do we anticipate an event that has already taken place – Jesus’s first coming – but we also look forward to and anticipate his second coming! In this plan, designed to be used during any of the days of the Advent season, we will reflect on 1 Thessalonians as we prepare our hearts to celebrate Christmas.

Paul’s encouraging letter to the Thessalonian church is a beautiful treatise on unity, sanctification, and the coming of Christ. 1 Thessalonians reminds us to remain sober and steadfast, hopefully anticipating the return of the Lord.

Saving sex for marriage isn't cool; it's holy. So why do so many Christians struggle with keeping it on lockdown until they say, "I Do"? Could it be we've conformed to cultural norms & slapped a Jesus bumper sticker on our lifestyle? Sex was God's idea before it ever became perverted by the world. It's time we change the narrative & redeem what was lost in translation during the purity movement.
