"Canonical Hours" are a centuries-old tradition where Christians pause to pray at specific times. This practice grew from ancient Jewish customs; for instance, Psalm 119 mentions praising God seven times daily. In the Old Testament, priests offered sacrifices morning and night, and the New Testament shows Jesus' followers continuing this by heading to the Temple for "afternoon prayers."
