Deuteronomy 14:25

We all have two choices: Follow the wisdom of this world or follow the Wisdom of God. This is a particularly pressing decision in our daily lives as we determine where to allocate our wealth. Leverage provides a roadmap for Christians to use their earthly gifts–not for personal benefit–but for the advancement of His Kingdom.

This is the fifth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for the Apostles' Creed, and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.

The following reading plan is provided to encourage you to dig deep into the Biblical message of generosity. It is here that we discover the good news that God has not only made us to be recipients of his grace but has also invited us to become participants in the movement of his divine generosity. We invite you to join us on the journey toward generous living.

What is the story of the church? This plan is a month-long journey through the Bible, looking at how God uses people, situations, and symbols to bring about communion between God and humanity once again. It follows the story of Israel and then the early church, highlighting the church's hope for resurrection and new creation and our role as agents of that new creation.
